We have experience of litigating at every level, bringing
a practical understanding to disputes in the life science sector. We have been involved in cases in the County
Court, High Court, appellate courts and the Privy Council. We have acted for both claimants and defendants.  Likewise, we have acted in large and complex matters, together with small claims.  

We also have experience with a variety of alternative dispute resolution approaches such as mediation, expert determination and arbitration. These can be particularly useful in the life sciences sector and are becoming more and more popular. We have been involved in a number of contract disputes which did not nominate alternative dispute resolution, but where the parties agreed to resolve the dispute using such an approach.

Our track record reflects the consistent success we have had in obtaining the outcomes sought by our clients and recovering costs wherever possible.

Our experience includes:

•    acting for both claimants and respondents in judicial
     review claims against public bodies;
•    acting in relation to breach of contract claims;
•    acting in relation to claims of negligence by patients
     against clinicians and medical staff, particularly in
     specialist settings such as IVF;
•    acting in relation to cases involving claims made
     under the Human Rights Act
